The location

Hluhluwe iMfolozi Game Reserve

Nestled in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi unfolds as a mystical sanctuary where wilderness whispers healing. Ancient rolling hills, untamed savannahs, and the rhythmic pulse of wildlife create a tranquil backdrop for trauma release retreats. Here, silence is profound yet alive—broken only by bird calls and the rustle of wind through acacia trees. The land holds ancestral energy, inviting deep reflection and renewal. Immersed in this untouched beauty, participants shed burdens, reconnect with inner strength, and awaken to transformation. Hluhluwe-iMfolozi is not just a retreat—it is a sacred journey into serenity, resilience, and the timeless embrace of nature.

Where to sleep

Nselweni Community Lodge offers rustic yet serene accommodation, perfectly aligned with the retreat’s spirit of renewal.

Perched on the banks of the Black uMfolozi River, Nselweni Lodge is a community-run bush camp that blends simplicity with authenticity. Eight intimate chalets, each with en-suite facilities and self-catering kitchens, provide comfort while keeping guests immersed in nature’s rhythm. Solar power and lanterns replace modern distractions, encouraging deep rest and reflection. A communal lounge and boma invite shared connection under starlit skies, while wildlife often wanders to the river below. Staying here is more than lodging—it is an immersion into wilderness tranquility and community-rooted conservation.
